Thoughtful Christmas presents are not expensive

Is it too early to think about Christmas presents and Christmas shopping?

Is it too self indulging to think about Christmas at the current economic crisis?

It is possible to have a great Christmas and make huge savings at the same time. Christmas presents need to be thoughtful, not expensive.

Responsible Holiday

Most of us love travelling but what can we do in our travelling that would make a positive contribution to the place we visit and to the environment?

Responsible travelling is about respecting the place you visit and benefitting the local people and the environment. Responsible travelling is not just about visiting the main tourist attractions, it is also about learning and experiencing the way of life of the locals and respecting the different culture.
To travel responsibly begins from the moment you plan your holiday. Consider the following factors before you make your travel plans.

• Be conscious about global warming and carbon emission. Try to reduce flying time as much as possible, take train or other form of public transport for interstate travel. Plan your route in advance to reduce unnecessary travelling.
• When booking your hotels, check with the operators on how they handle their environmental responsibility. Environment policy like if energy consumption and practice, do they used only local produce, employ locals in their establishment and what do they do about conservation around them.

To have a better understanding about the place you are visiting, read the destination brochures, the places of interest and their basic facts about the place. Research the internet for information about the local culture and way of life. When you read about the place and their culture beforehand, you will definitely be able to immerse yourself in the environment easily.

Responsible travelling is also about respecting the different religious practice, language and social behaviour. Be respectful to the place and the properties.
Buy local products; do not buy products that exploit the young and the vulnerable. Visit the place where they make the products to show your appreciation for the skills and effort.

Visit local conservation projects like forest conservation, animal sanctuary and learn what the people do to preserve their environment.

Responsible travelling is about respect. Respect for the environment, the place, culture and the people. Responsible travelling is about reducing your carbon footprint and it is also about conservation and protection.

Managed your spending

Could this help?

Do we need a managed form of spending in this period of credit crunch? Everyday we are innudated with bad news about credit crunch and recession. Would a prepaid payment card help curtail our spending, help us plan and make sure we only spend within our means.

Perhaps Extreme Cred prepaid card is the answer.

Here is how it works:
Extreme Cred was launched in May 2006. Extreme Credis a prepaid payment card that offer the advantages of conventional credit and debit cards without the risks of debt and overspend.

Anyone above the age of 13 is eligible to sign up for this card. It is especially aimed at the youth market, Extreme Cred is a grown up way to handle money and pocket allowance. It eliminate the dangers of carrying cash. We all know the consequences of carrying cash, it's a temptation to spend more.

Extreme Cred is as useful for adults as it is for young people. Especially in this credit crunch situation where all of us have to be careful with our spending.

How doesExtreme Cred works?

Available to anyone over thirteen years old, teenagers and students can now spend money in the same way adult credit and debit card holders can – online, whilst travelling abroad, withdrawing at cash machines, in restaurants, bars, shops and anywhere MAESTRO cards are excepted.

The significant difference is that the money has to be paid onto the card UPFRONT either through debit or credit card transfer or in cash at Post Offices or at Paypoint contractors.

The principle is the same as known from ‘pay as you go’ mobile phones – the credit available is what has been paid onto the card.
There is no minimum amount needed to be held on the card but the maximum is £ 5000. MONEYEXPERT.COM have surveyed pre-paid credit cards and EX CRED is currently ranked as No 1. Product of its kind.

Extreme Credalso offers its cardholders special benefits such as discounts at extremepie.com, Europe’s leading online store for sport and lifestyle clothing and equipments.

It is easy to obtain a Extreme Cred. The cards are available in 4 attractive designs and can be purchased online at Extreme Cred at the costs of £ 8.95, which includes the card being personalised to the buyers name, and delivered within 10 working days.

You can find out more about this Extreme Credhere.

What would you take on a holiday?

It is exciting to plan a holiday, find a holiday destination, make the booking and wait for the day to come. That is the easy part.

Packing my luggage before the holiday is a stressful affair. What to pack, did I remember to bring the neccessary things. Then there is a problem of over packing and going over the luggage weight required by the airline.

So I have to remember to place the most important things first before I can consider the miscellanous items.

The ten indispensible things I would take on a holiday would be -
1. Tooth brush and tooth paste. I would not want to start my holiday looking around to buy a new tooth brush or tooth paste.
